AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
Learn ASL from a “Native Speaker.”

If you've wanted to learn American Sign Language, or you'd like to brush up on your skills, this is the class for you. Taught by the phenomenal Terri Jackson, this class will lead you toward better communication and understanding of the Deaf Community. In addition to the ASL alphabet, numbers and vocabulary, you will learn about sentence structure, phrases, directional verbs, deaf culture, and you'll have the opportunity to sign with the Deaf.
This class will allow you to expand your communication skills to a whole new level. More importantly, it will give you an awareness of others and encouragement to think in a way you've probably never experienced.

Taught by freelance writer Becky Kraegel, this course will draw from a number of sources, including Elizabeth Berg's instructional “ Escaping Into The Open .” Classes will use discussion, writing exercises and creative encouragement to guide students toward exploring their writing selves. You do not need to be a Writer with a capital "W" or even have a desire to be one in order to enjoy this class and benefit from it. Conversational Sign Language

Taught by native signer Terri Jackson, this course focuses on the idioms and conversational use of American Sign Language. Based on the book, Conversational Sign Language II, some signing knowledge is required to take this course. Expand your knowledge of ASL and improve your conversational sign language competence while enjoying the camaraderie of hearing and deaf students.
