Wrapping up the week in Mobile and Gulf Shores and what a great time of play and planning for the Foxes!  We've visited bookstores, most notable, Page and Palette in Fairhope, AL, owned by Karin Wilson, president of SIBA.  (Southeastern Independent Booksellers Association).  We've heard a lot about her store, which has been in business for 40 years.  Fairhope is a charming town and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there.  Other bookstores caught our eye and we had to veer quickly into each one on two tires just to see what was in them.  And we (insert sheepish expressions) bought books!  It's official, we really are addicted.

Yesterday was SIBA education day in Mobile and we broke our usual trio of camaraderie to go to separate classes and events to get the full benefit.  Each of us came away with at least ONE good thing we can implement in our shoppe.  When we are together, in our uniforms of FoxTale T-shirts, jeans, and fedoras, we seem to attract a lot of attention.  Wonder why that is? hmmmm... (thoughtful pause).

Lunch at the conference featured 3 great writers, one of them being our fav - RICK BRAGG.  We were invited to eat lunch at his table and he kept us laughing the entire time.  OMG we love that boy!  I will tell you that Rick ate his dessert halfway through his meal so that the foxes couldn't eat it when he got up to speak.  And my, does he love fried chicken.  He told us a tale of fried chicken, dirty shirts and a bookstore signing that nearly had us rolling on the floor. Come in and see us and let us tell you about it. (Like we won't accost all of our customers with our Rick stories whether you ask us or not)...

It appears that next door to our beach retreat is a couple that will have a wedding in the sand tonight so the twins and big sistuh will be dancing on the deck.

I have photos of the 3 of us in swimsuits but I won't share them here.  We're thinking of having them inserted into our next book...And NO those people on the beach are not US!  PULEEZE!

The day beckons and I can no longer say no to it.  Time to put my tiny toes in the sand...  And speaking of TOES, this twin is limping due to a recalcitrant giraffe that stepped on it a couple of nights ago.  Dadblame orange and black long legged thing. Those hoofs hurt!

See you back in Woodstock on Monday!
