Absolutely
defies categorization (suspense, relationships,
non-fiction??), but suffice it to say it is one of the
most fascinating books I've read in quite some
time. If you're married, you will
relate to at least one of the
relationships explored here. And the non-fiction
elements (remember Sam Sheppard of The
Fugitive fame?) lend credibility to
the story which will keep you hanging by your
fingernails to the last page. Warning: Do NOT start
this book unless you have the time to read non-stop,
because it's too compelling to wait!

HENRIETTA
LACKS
Fans of medical non-fiction
will get absorbed in this well-written book about “HeLa”
cells which were taken from a dying black woman and used
to launch a medical revolution. HeLa cells led to the
polio vaccine and were used to study atom bombs, cancer,
in vitro fertilization, cloning, gene mapping, you name
it. So why did we never know their owner, Henrietta
Lacks? This book uncovers huge improprieties in the
medical world that will astound you.
