As a mare, she could easily see in the self-image periphery most of the winter-thick sandy blond equestrian coat and cream blond mane of what she looked like most of the time. Her tail was similarly a golden cream at the root and cascaded in darkening strands into an earthy brown near the tips. She whipped the tail as she walked, feeling agitated. Focusing straight ahead was sometimes the challenge.
