You wish to utter a spell to secure love?

Dear Human Animal, do not ask the Moon

though I nurture her so,

slosh in her tide, menstruation, gestation

bang the Moon in another sign.

Do not pester the twenty-nine-day Moon

she reflects most of her cycle

upon Sol's indomitable will

yet she rarely eclipses, unites

the Moon cannot guide you to a love spell.

Disdain the push-push-push of humans

snub the sticky demands of Society

detest inaccurate assessments

loathe plain compromises of yourself

laugh over self-doubtful fears.

Ask instead after the Eight-Year Goddess

she thrives within respecting herself

ask her for the five practical tools

self-caress, discrimination, scorn, adoration, afterglow

then utter concise, unique mantras

celebrating self-value...
